My story map Project

Computer Cartography 4006 Blog Post # 1

As my first Blog for Computer Cartography I'll be sharing the link to my ArcGIS story map.

I enjoyed making this story map because a lot of the content is very personal and meaningful to me. 

Especially about Oliver. It was difficult to get through the portion I wrote about him because the pain of losing him still stings just as bad as it did the day we lost him. 

Its been a nice break from class work the past few months and I'm gassed  and ready to finish this course. I joined this GIS program because I want to serve my employer to the best of my ability and knew that a course like this would provide the knowledge to do that. I also hope to earn the title GIS Analyst at my company taking on a bigger role. 

My name is Dwight, I'm a GIS technician at a utility company in Northwest Florida and this is my third class for this course, I like to spend my time with family and playing DnD / Poker nights with my buddies from high school. I've been serving as the GIS tech for about eight months now and as City Works Administrator for about 6 months. I've essentially been learning two new programs at once so I've had fun with that. I think one of the things that people can say for sure about me is if I'm given a task but don't know how to complete it immediately I will stop at nothing to make sure it gets done and done correctly. I am motivated by struggle sort of like Hunter Sung Jinwoo or Tanjiro. Most folks wont get those references. I look forward to working with all of you in this class!
